This is the story of successes and failures and of persistence and dedication which resulted in New York State being the 13th state to provide full suffrage for women and leading the way for the passage of the 19th Amendment which was officially adopted on August 26, 1920.

Guest Speaker: Helen Nerska, Director – Clinton County Historical Association and Museum. Her personal commitment is preserving and sharing the long, inspiring and significant history of Clinton County New York. She is the author of the recently published “Clinton County Suffrage Story” and speaks regularly on women’s suffrage history.
