Press Release: June 1, 2022

The Anderson Falls Heritage Society is now open and welcoming visitors to its Heritage House Museum.

This year’s featured exhibit is the Art and Artists of Keeseville. All works are by local artists or are scenes from the Towns of Ausable or Chesterfield. Various media are represented ranging from watercolor, oil, acrylic, and pencil, as well as photography. Among the many scenic vistas of the area, the stone arch bridge is an iconic subject favored by many. Artists in the exhibit include Aaron Dean Fletcher, a prominent artist of the mid-1800s, folk artist Emmett Pine, of the mid-1900s, and contemporary artists.

The museum is at 96 Clinton Street, Keeseville. The new hours of operation are Thursdays 10 AM to 12 noon and Saturdays 1-3 PM, or by appointment. There is no admission charge. The museum is participating in the Pathways Through History weekend, Saturday, June 18, and Sunday, June 19, from 10 AM to 4 PM. A 10% discount on all gift store purchases $5.00 or more will be offered during that weekend.

The revised website has a variety of galleries highlighting the area’s hamlets of Ausable Chasm, Clintonville, Harkness, Keeseville, Port Douglass, and Port Kent. In addition to previewing the museum, web visitors can explore some of the archival resources as well. Visit www.andersonfalls.org
